Experienced in a number of modalities, my goal is to work with you to meet your body's needs in a therapeutic approach. My focus is to help you heal and leave your session feeling better.
I have a Massage Therapy Diploma from Mount Royal University. Prior to becoming a RMT (Registered Massage Therapist), I was a member of the Canadian National Biathlon Team and competed in three Olympic Games. My experience as an athlete cultivated an interest in anatomy and physiology. As well, a passion to help others recover from injuries, heal and recuperate led me to this career.

Therapeutic massage utilizes different techniques from Swedish massage, deep tissue massage, myofascial release, trigger point therapy, stretching and mobilizations. An individual therapeutic approach is taken to target problem areas, release restrictive tension, improve postural alignment and get you back on your feet.
Feeling that you just need to relax and unwind? Then this is for you. Relaxation massage involves Swedish massage techniques. It can be light to deep pressure depending on your preference, a soothing restorative massage.
Numerous physiological changes occur during pregnancy. Prenatal massage improves circulation, digestion, decreases pain, relieves mental and physical fatigue. Bolsters and pillows are utilized to provide comfort and safety for mother and baby in either face down, face up or side-lying position.
This treatment focuses on the inner and outer jaw muscles to relieve tension headaches, sore jaw muscles, sinus problems and teeth grinding. It usually involves both external and internal treatment. Inter-oral component involves the therapist working inside the mouth with a gloved hand.
Cupping therapy is a form of ancient alternative medicine in which a therapist puts glass, silicone or plastic cups on the skin for a few minutes to create suction. Cupping stimulates circulation, reduces myofascial restrictions and rigidity and softens contracted tissues providing relief for muscular aches, pain and spasms. It can be combined with a therapeutic massage or a separate treatment.

Massage therapy is an extremely customizable and personalized experience, based on individual needs and comfort level. Prior to treatment, the therapist will review your health history and discuss your specific concerns or goals for treatment. Your wellbeing is of foremost importance, you may have dislikes, need something to be adjusted, pressure changed etc. An open line of communication is important. For your massage, undress to your comfort level, feel free to wear underwear or shorts. Your privacy is respected at all times.
No, please cancel if you are not feeling well. A massage may make you feel worse because it increases blood and lymph circulation making it harder to fight that bug.
The effects of massage include improved physical flexibility, pain/tension relief, increased blood circulation, mood elevation, mental relief and stronger immunity. As well, massage complements other therapies including chiropractic/physical therapy, and it's beneficial for all ages and multiple conditions.
A doctor's referral is unnecessary, except when required by your insurance carrier. If you are taking medications or have a specific concern you may want to check with your health care provider that massage therapy is right for you.
